In 1985 as a 15 year old kid living just outside of Edmonton, my parents moved to Calgary. Heartbreak for a huge Oilers fan, but hey, I was heading to Calgary with 2 cups in my back pocket as a fan. Fast forward to the playoffs next year, ready to continue our dynasty and being a little cocky. Needless to say, the Steve Smith own goal haunts me to this day and is the reason I have never bet on a hockey game since. |

Me being a 9-year-old kid when Mario Lemieux announced his retirement in 1997. I had seen incredible goals, his triumphant victory of cancer and of course 2 Stanley cups, but the day he said he was retiring in the prime of his career (hindsight2/20 of course) that was the day of my hockey heartbreak. Honorable mentioned to the 1993 Islanders and 2010 Canadiens playoff series. |

Also losing to LA in OT in 2014 in game 7 ,that one still stings . All good always a HAWKS fan !!!  |
